Pop Art Sends Delegation to 2004 Search Engine Strategies Conference in San Jose
During the fist week of August 2004 Pop Art sent a delegation to the 2004 Search Engine Strategies Conference in San Jose, California. The four day conference offered training sessions, seminars, panel discussions, vendor introductions and many networking opportunities. The conference is a convergence of the best and brightest international minds in search marketing. Pop Art gained valuable knowledge by learning directly from the top search companies such as Yahoo!, Google and others on how best to utilize their engines to generate leads for Pop Art's customers. In addition to the four days of seminars and presentations the Pop Art team attended special events by the top search providers. An impressive event was the Google Dance Party 2004 at Google's Headquarters. It served as a unique opportunity to meet many members of the Google team and learn more about their business culture, but most of the conversations were brief due to the pre-IPO time of the event. One highlight from the conference was the recent refinement to both Google and Overture's local search products. Many of Pop Art's customers have a targeted or regional focus and the addition of these new tools will allow customer's marketing dollars to be more efficiently used and yield better results. In addition to improving Pop Art's techniques for achieving better search ranking the conference also introduced new analytic tools for results analysis. Since the conference, Pop Art has been evaluating these tools and deciding which features will offer the best return for our clients. We have already implemented the newest version of search engine tracking software, and are working to deliver a much more modern user-interface. In addition, Pop Art is quickly narrowing our search for the best analytic and ROI tracking software available. We plan to begin implementing the newest analytic tools very soon. Based on the new information from the conference and our continued close eye on the changes to the search marketing landscape we have been working to refine our strategies with existing customers and leveraging our expertise to attract new customers. Our sales team has been actively holding lunch time presentations and strategic meetings with key customers and strategic partners.
