Pop Art is excited to be getting more active in the community, working on projects for new customers, such as Thurston First Bank, Pendleton Woolen Mills and Oregon Center for Nursing, as well as adding new members to our team. Here are some highlights...
  • Community Involvement:
    • Aaron Tersteeg, Pop Art's Vice President Sales and Marketing, has recently been elected to the position of Board Member and Chairman for Web Communication (2004-2005 program year) for the Portland Chapter of the American Marketing Association.
    • The Portland Chapter of the Society for Information Management has voted in Aaron Tersteeg as their new Board Member and Marketing Chair for the 2004-2005 program year.
    • Pop Art's Director of Software Development, Andrew Hay, has been appointed to the Saturday Academy Board of Advisors. Saturday Academy is a nonprofit organization (affiliated with Portland State University) that runs educational enrichment extracurricular programs.
    • Pop Art is donating time to develop a new site for Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp.

  • New Clients and Projects:
    • Thurston First Bank - Selected Pop Art for strategic planning, web site graphic design and scoping functional requirements for final web production.
    • Pendleton Woolen Mills - The Oregon based apparel and home furnishings manufacturer has selected Pop Art to design and plan a new e-commerce system.
    • Oregon Center for Nursing - Pop Art is developing a Clinical Placement Application for the OCN.
    • Western Seminary Institute - Planning and development for redesign of site for ministry training division.
    • Oregon Episcopal School - Development and production of Sharepoint based intranet site for school administrators.
    • Ball Janik LLP - The leading Portland law firm has selected Pop Art to design and produce a new site featuring the Catabolt web content management system.
    • Hinds Instruments - Pop Art is working with Hinds Instruments, the world's leading supplier of photoelastic modulators, to produce a new web site for the firm's Exicor product.
    • Belamar Hotel - A new boutique hotel under development in Manhattan Beach, California, selected Pop Art for brand identity planning, logo design, web site production and print marketing collateral development. The hotel is slated to open doors in winter of 2004.
    • Hotel Andra - Additional Flash functionality to highlight new photography of hotel interiors
    • Mt Hood Kiwanis Camp - Pop Art is donating web design and production services to the Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, a summer camp for developmentally challenged young people.
    • Saturday Academy - Pop Art is working with this nonprofit organization (affiliated with Portland State University) that runs extracurricular education enrichment programs. Pop Art donating time to produce a web site for the Academy.


  • Launches and Project Completions:
    • Carrier Commercial - Launch of the newly redesigned Carrier Commercial site.
    • Leatherman - Pop Art launched the Charge Microsite to promote the company's newest multi-tool. The latest products have also been deployed to the primary Leatherman site as well as a section for retired tools.
    • Hinds Instruments - Pop Art launched a new site for Exicor, a top product line from Hinds Instruments, the world's leading provider of photoelastic modulators.
    • responDESIGN - New updates including video animation, Flash navigation and forums added to existing site.
    • Pacific Software Associates - Pop Art launched a new site for this information technology company.
    • Site enhancements launched for the SelecTrucks site, these include search engine positioning upgrades, color scheme refresh, rotating homepage images, new image gallery and added content administration for special promotions.
    • Pacific Continental Bank new web sitelaunched, it features a new look and feel as well as the Catabolt web content management system.
    • Pop Art launched a new web site for the Australasian College of Herbal Studies (ACHS). The new ACHS site features Catabolt web content management, updated graphic design and a virtual library as well as e-registration for students.
    • One Economy Corporation - Pop Art completed flash work for One Economy Corporation, the flash component is an educational tool about money management intended for posting to a One Economy Web Site.


  • New Team Members:
    • Piriya Thongtanunam has joined Pop Art as web developer. Piriya earned his bachelor of science in computer science from Portland State University. His experience includes flash engineering and contract work for Welocalize.com and software engineering for The TAKGROUP.
