Innovation and enhanced customer service have been the themes at Pop Art during Q1 '04. Pop Art has taken on some exciting new projects, launched many new sites and added some talented new team members to the staff. Pop Art will be assisting a candidate for Mayor in NYC with his campaign strategy. Pop Art has been selected by a client recognized as the best small company to work for in Oregon. We've launched sites for hotels and a best selling author. And in only six months Pop Art has evolved from a 14-person firm to a thriving 19-person firm with more growth on the horizon.

1st Century Bank - Brand new Los Angeles bank, opened its doors and launched the new site simultaneously.

Opus Solutions - New site for "The events and marketing company," specializing in solutions for corporate events and tradeshow planning, operations and marketing.

LB Day - New site for this Portland based strategic organization consultancy firm.

Hanna Strader - New site for this Professional Corporation of attorneys at law based in Portland.

Hotel Preston - New site for this boutique hotel in Nashville.

Paramount Hotel - New site and search engine marketing for Portland's newest boutique hotel downtown.

Phillip Margolin - New site for Portland-based New York Times bestselling novelist.

Burley - Site re-design. Burley is a manufacturer of handcrafted bicycle products in Eugene, OR.

Home Loan Source - New site and search engine positioning for this Vancouver, WA based full-service home mortgage broker.

  • Awards, Recognition and Industry Events:
    • Pop Art is an exhibitor at InnoTech, Oregon's Business & Technology Innovation Conference & Expo, March 31st and April 1st.
    • Join Pop Art's VP of Sales and Marketing, Aaron Tersteeg, on April 1st at 1:30 PM, as he moderates a panel discussion about E-Commerce - Tune up your Web Site. Panelists include:

  • New Clients:
    • Shaw For Mayor - Steve Shaw campaign for mayor of New York City selected Pop Art to implement web, e-mail and print strategies to supplement his campaign initiatives.
    • Pacific Software Associates - a provider of software development solutions to multiple timber industry customers, PSA selected Pop Art to revise their corporate identity and to provide information architecture, web design and development services.
    • SelecTrucks - The dedicated used truck network division of Portland-based Freightliner Market Development Corporation, SelecTrucks renewed their long-standing relationship with Pop Art to enhance portions of their site, add web features, and continue their search engine positioning campaign.
    • Pacific Continental Bank - "The Right Bank", Pacific Continental Bank is a Eugene-based bank with ten offices serving clients in Oregon and southwest Washington and has chosen Pop Art for web site design and programming services. PCB is the 6th largest Oregon chartered bank and in March was named the best small company to work for in Oregon by Oregon Business magazine.
    • Australasian College of Herbal Studies - The Australasian College of Herbal Studies (ACHS) has selected Pop Art to design and develop a new web site and integrate it with their online e-College system.
    • Scrub Med - A manufacturer of medical scrubs, Scrubmed selected Pop Art to provide web design and e-commerce services and to build a content management system.
  • New Team Members:
    • Sua Thov, Software Engineer: Sua joins Pop Art with 4 years experience developing high end database driven, multi-lingual web applications for companies such as CITGO Petroleum and ExxonMobil. He has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Portland State University.
    • Tom Lum Forest, Project Manager: Tom has 12 years of experience in working with line-of-business people to collaboratively identify, categorize, and prioritize business process needs, using state-of-the-art technical tools to design, develop, and deploy ways to meet those needs. He has worked with American Power Conversion, Radisys, and Natural Microsystems. He earned his Bachelor's of Science in Management at MIT's Sloan School of Management and is a Microsoft Certified Application Developer for Microsoft .NET (MCAD), Charter Member, and Microsoft Certified Professional Solution Developer (MCSD), VS 6.
    • Dev Pillette, Project Manager: Dev joins Pop Art with over 10 years experience in marketing and creative services, leading printing and internet marketing campaigns. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Oregon.
    • David Stewart, Graphic Designer: David brings Pop Art 5 years experience with Flash, design for interactive applications, print production, and illustration. His background includes prior work for Intel and White Horse Interactive. David graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design.
    • Ranee Chung, Senior Graphic Designer: Ranee's background as Principal and Creative Director of Cyrano Corp. highlights the kind of entrepreneurial spirit that Pop Art greatly values. Her contributions in project conception, web design and development led to awards from One Show Interactive and Cinema in Industry (CINDY). She holds a Certificate in Graphic Design from Parsons School of Design, and a Bachelor's of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary.
