In 2008 Detroit Diesel asked Pop Art to extend their brand’s new look and feel online to better connect with customers. The redesign had to be search engine friendly, serve as a launch pad for new products, and be visually appealing and easy to navigate.

The Challenge

An interactive refresh of Detroit Diesel’s online image positioned the brand in a more engaging, less engineering heavy way. It was essential to re-launch the website in a matter of weeks, to sync up with larger marketing initiatives underway.

Strategy

Implement the site refresh incrementally. Bring the new look and feel to market to meet the necessary timeline. The critical pages with the highest priority were to be converted first, migrating lower traffic pages in later phases.

Results

Going strong, the site is still home to the heavy-duty engine manufacturer and, outside of promotional updates, has proven to have an impressive site shelf life.
