SelecTrucks.com Site Launched
6/13/07
|
After hanging out at truck stops for the past few months to get a true feel for the trucking lifestyle, the Pop Art team is excited to announce the launch of the new SelecTrucks web site.
With Pop Art's help, Freightliner Market Development Corporation (FMDC) successfully updated the new site to offer real stories from satisfied SelecTrucks customers, streamlined usability and valuable trucking information, comprehensive warranty information, a finance calculator, as well as career opportunities and educational content.
The Pop Art team introduced FMDC to Paper Prototyping, a process that allowed us to create a mock web site that could be tested with actual truck owner-operators and fleet managers to ensure the best user experience possible. Coupled with the client's clarity for communicating with their customers, the end result is a user-friendly, highly targeted marketing and lead generation tool.
SelecTrucks is a brand of Freightliner Market Development Corporation (FMDC) - a subsidiary of Freightliner LLC, the leading heavy-duty truck manufacturer in North America.

Pop Art Launches Online Campaign for New Freightliner Truck
5/21/07
|
Freightliner Trucks has been a Pop Art client for over 8 years. We've seen them through product launches, industry-changing environmental regulations, Daimler-Chrysler mergers and acquisitions - and through it all they have turned to us for their internet marketing needs.
This month Freightliner Trucks unveiled a whole new breed of truck, the Cascadia. It is revolutionary in the market and their online messaging needed to be of the same caliber.
The Pop Art team collaborated to develop both a product marketing campaign and a brand marketing campaign. The product marketing campaign focused on Freightliner Truck's Cascadia being the right decision for smart business people in the trucking industry. The campaign illustrated not only the most exciting new benefits of the Cascadia, but also did extensive viral outreach to Freightliner Truck's core consumers through custom emails, teaser web pages and upgrades to the Freightliner Trucks site. With this campaign, Pop Art was able to make use of the latest online trends to continue to evolve Freightliner Truck's internet marketing.
The brand marketing campaign brought to life the trucking world now that the Cascadia Truck has been introduced. To drive this message home, Pop Art created a tourism site for the fictional town of Cascadia where you can visit the Beef Jerky Tasting Room, watch Truck Rally racing at the big rig drive-in, and even get the town waitress to tell your boss how much you need a new Cascadia Truck. Drop on by and send a postcard from Cascadia!
Pop Art works with a number of brands within the Freightliner LLC group, including Freightliner Trucks, SelecTrucks, Detroit Diesel and Freightliner LLC. |

Pop Art Updates LP Identity on the Web
5/2/2007
|
Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (LP®) recently refreshed their corporate identity with their agency, MFP, and interactive agency, Pop Art, Inc. The aim was to update the LP web site to reflect the company's recently refreshed identity, which unified LP's product families under one logo system to leverage the central LP brand. Pop Art brought LP's online presence in line with their offline identity, updated navigation, used web standards, enhanced messaging on key pages and carried the strategy through to LP's online media and e-mail campaigns.
Simplifying Navigation to Enhance Usability >One of LP's key marketing goals is to highlight the breadth of their product lines to contractors and builders. LP and Pop Art decided to use product categories for navigation, rather than brand names. The simple shift, which put the brand names center stage within each category, helps the user understand what LP has to offer.
Business Meets Branding >Pop Art's solution synced LP's business needs with their branding goals. The team rewrote copy to emphasize product benefits, while remaining mindful of search engine marketing best practices, keeping in mind that significant search traffic comes from product categories and brand names. In addition, Pop Art is driving traffic to the new site by creating and managing the largest online media campaign in LP history.
Google Loves Web Standards Since almost 40 percent of LP's site traffic comes from search engines, the use of web standards code in the refresh played a key role. Pop Art's use of standards-compliant web development ensures search engine friendly pages.
