Pop Art Holidizes the World

02/01/2010

Before the business world shut down for the holidays, we at Pop Art launched our 2009 e-card, The Holidizer. Running with the success of “Imma let you finish” and “The Bacon-izer,” Holidize.me was designed to let you put a cheery animated holiday scene over your choice of site. The Holidizer also generated a shortcode, letting you easily share the new URL.

Once it was launched we set about exposing the world to what we had done through a multi-channel social media campaign. First utilizing email, we targeted the 1,700 people who already receive our quarterly newsletter.

From there we went about social media seeding, reaching such blogs and Twitter feeds as Ad Pulp and Agency Spy. In the end our efforts paid off when we were chosen by James Cooper (the Interactive CD of Saatchi New York), to be part of his list of 2009’s Best Agency Holiday Cards for a guest post he wrote on AdFreak, the blog of Ad Week (the second biggest advertising publication by global readership).

In the end we had thousands of visits coming in from every continent. From Tennessee to Tunisia and Minnesota to Malaysia, the Holidizer was a global hit!
